Yong-Wei Zhang received the B.S degree in electrical engineering and automation, and M.S. in control theory and control engineering from the Lanzhou University of Science and Technology, Lanzhou, China, in 2005 and 2008 respectively, and phD degree in control theory and control engineering from Tongji University, Shanghai, China, in 2013.

He is currently a lecturer at the Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Zhenjiang, China. He was an academic visitor at the University of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. His research interests include evolutionary computation, swarm optimization and feature extraction.
