Dr. Bo Song received his BS and MS from Beijing Univ. of Aeronautics and Astronautics. After graduation he served BUAA as a lecturer in the area of thermal science until he went to Virginia Tech to pursue Ph.D., with research mostly on turbomachinery. Upon completion of Ph.D., he joined Gardner Denver in Georgia as senior design engineer and later promoted to chief R&D engineer. After then he went back to China and founded a company dedicated to R&D and service of air compression products. In 2022, he took a professor position in School of ME, Jiangsu Univ. of Science and Technology, focusing research on gas turbine and fluid machinery.

His credentials include ASME Fellow, AIAA Associate Fellow, Turbomachinery Committee Member of IGTI, ASME Journal of Turbomachinery Top Ten Most downloaded articles, AIAA Outstanding Paper, China state and province level awards. He published 32 papers and holds 34 patents. He co-authored a chapter for Wiley’s Encyclopedia of Aerospace Engineering.
